Sweet Potato Fries with Dill and Feta Dip
Easy and healthy, my Sweet Potato Fries with Dill and Feta Dip are the perfect, delicious way to enjoy a classic comfort food!
Friends, as a health-conscious vegetarian, I feel almost obligated to love sweet potatoes. They are the put-together and productive cousin of the classic white potato, which despite its wild popularity, contains very little nutritional value.
Meanwhile, sweet potatoes are just loaded with vitamin A, which is great for skin and eye health. They also contain good amounts of vitamins C and B6, which boost brain health. All with fewer carbs and calories than a white potato!
So…If you want better skin, eyesight, and brain health (and who doesn’t…), give sweet potatoes a chance!
You can use them almost everywhere you usually find white potatoes.
My favorite uses are: sweet potato fries (obviously), mashed potatoes, shepherd’s pie, and just plain ol’ easy roasted sweet potatoes.
Now that I have convinced you to come over to the orange side…

First of all, this side dish is easy and quick, of course. You know I wouldn’t give you a recipe with a million steps and even more ingredients. I couldn’t do that to you.
Just as importantly, this is yet another healthy take on a classic comfort food.
#takebackcomfortfood!
Yeah, I’m definitely making that a thing.
What is the joy in eating healthily if you can’t love what you’re eating?
Food is meant to be enjoyed, not simply tolerated.
And let me tell you…you will definitely enjoy these sweet potato fries and dip.
The sweet potatoes get a kick of spice from an onion and garlic powder duo. Then paprika joins the party to add just a little heat and warmth.
Meanwhile, the creamy dill and feta dip with cucumber is the perfect accompaniment.
I love the way the heat of the fries contrasts with the coolness of the dip.
The best thing about the Dill and Feta Dip is it is actually quite a versatile little partner! My husband loves it as a dip for his sliced cucumbers, and I can’t wait to try it out as a spread on a veggie sandwich.
Let me know what you think!

Sweet Potato Fries with Dill and Feta Dip
Equipment
- Food processor
- Mandoline slicer (optional)
Ingredients
Sweet Potato Fries
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Dill and Feta Dip
- ⅔ cup greek yoghurt
- ⅔ cup feta cheese crumbled
- 2 inches cucumber roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh dill roughly chopped
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
Sweet Potato Fries
- Preheat the oven to 450°
- Slice the sweet potatoes lengthwise about ¼" thick. I used my mandoline slicer to get uniform cuts. Then cut each slice into sticks about ½" wide with a knife.
- Spread the sweet potato fries onto a sheet pan covered with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Drizzle the olive oil over the fries and then add the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Move the fries around with your hands or tongs to get even distribution of the oil and spices on the sweet potatoes. Spread the sweet potatoes on the sheet pan into a single layer.
- Roast the sweet potatoes for a total of 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
Dill and Feta Dip
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
